Art and music is a very important aspect of Kellosi culture. The habitants make music with special, handmade instruments made out of strings and mineral rocks. The most common instruments are the harp, the organ, the guitar, the flute, and the drums. The habitants also enjoy singing songs in Kel and their various other dialects. The music from this planet is unique from the other planets in the galaxy because of the meanings of the melody and the lyrics. In other words, the songs are meant to produce emotions to the listener and make them reflect on the meaning of life. Yet, there are songs that are exclusively instrumental and do not contain any lyrics. Nevertheless, they still have the purpose of creating certain moods and emotions. The beat of these songs tends to be upbeat, played especially in celebrations such as the quindecim (celebration every fifteen years), to represent the happy environment of the planet. Furthermore, the Kellosi habitants are known to produce beautiful works of art using paint from flowers. These artists portray all aspects of life in Kellos in their outstanding, colorful works of art. Some artists get their inspiration from nature, and as a result most of the paintings they produce portray the beautiful landscapes of Kellos and the extraordinary mineral mines and sites. In addition, other artists paint works of art for the royalty. The typical artist might spend months working on a piece to make it just perfect for the king and the queen. On the other hand, other artists dedicate to painting religious illustrations for the church. These painters put a lot of time and effort to painting images of Viride and images of the virgins and saints. The visitors from foreign planets can admire these works of art in the museums the planet offers and there are often auctions to sell selected paintings.
